We were so glad to find out that the digital signage Vimeo app is now available to all of our subscribers. Vimeo, like YouTube, is a video-sharing website, but unlike YouTube, it is geared towards the craft of filmmaking.
As a result of Vimeo joining the digital signage content streaming world, we will be curating FREE playlists for all of our subscribers to show on their screens. This now opens up a world of entertainment for our subscribers because they can offer a unique experience when “sitting and watching a screen” is involved: waiting rooms, lobbies, medical establishments, etc. That dreaded CP24 channel with its bad news plays everywhere and no one should be exposed to it while visiting a business premises, in our opinion.
If you’re not familiar with Vimeo and you enjoy the likes of both amateur and professional films and videos, visit www.vimeo.com where you can choose from a variety of Staff Picks, channels, and categories such as animation, comedy, experimental, fashion, documentaries, narrative (drama, sci-fi, etc.), and so much more.
Our curated picks will be selections from a number of these categories and playlists will be created with various themes and settings in mind to best suit the environment where content is being watched. For example, a travel-themed playlist can be suitable where audio is not permitted or suitable but the visuals will be satisfying enough to the viewer.
Playlists will include video content ranging from 2 minutes to 10 minutes because we want to showcase a variety to span over a one-hour timeframe. Then again, Tonymac Digital Signage subscribers can request custom playlists and we will produce them — free of course! Vimeo playlists can be uploaded to any screen or screens immediately, as well as play on multiple screens; or, different playlists on different screens. Unfortunately, these playlists cannot be previewed because we have to assemble them each time.
